Discover the thrill of sailing in St Martin, a Caribbean sailor's paradise known for its steady winds, spectacular scenery, and friendly anchorages. Our St Martin Monohull Sailing Adventure is perfect for adventure seekers wanting to combine hands-on learning with unforgettable experiences.
Requirements: You can sign up to this course without prior experience.
Certifications: Sign up on any date to earn either ASA 101 & 103, or ASA 103 & 104 according to your previous experience. Contact us to check for availability if you are interested in ASA 105 & 106.
Date Range: November to June. Please contact us to enquire about any unpublished week or further dates in general.
Boat type: Monohull
The course fees include:
- 6 nights accommodation aboard a modern monohull (minimum 40 feet in length)
- Professional Sailing Virgins Instructor to help guide you through the week and keep the vibes high at all times
- 2 x ASA Levels (including textbooks and certifications)
- Breakfast and lunch daily as well as two dinners on the boat
- All fuel, mooring fees, water and ice for the boat
The course fees do not include:
- Travel to and from the course meeting point in Road Town, Tortola
- Meals, drinks and activities ashore
- Instructor gratuity
Sample Itinerary
(Note that the exact route changes each week depending on the weather, crew preferences and any special events that are happening.)
Sunday - Base Marina to Orient Bay
We'll meet the crew and grab our provisions for the week.
Once we board the yacht we'll get everything organised and get familiar with our home of the week.
6 NM Sail over to Orient Bay where we can enjoy dinner aboard and passage plan for our Monday sail to St. Barth
Monday - Gustavia, St Barth
We'll get an early start departing for St Barth, to arrive in Gustavia.
We'll be able to explore this gorgeous town on land, and then have dinner ashore.
Tuesday - Colombier Bay
We'll head out and set sail north up to Colombier Bay.
We can spend the afternoon snorkeling and enjoying some beach time and wildlife observation
On the evening we'll enjoy a quiet anchorage in Colombier Bay
Wednesday - Grand Cul-de-Sac
We'll move just 5 nautical miles towards this small island with white sand beaches.
It's a great opportunity for kayaking, paddle boarding, and practice sailing skills there
Thursday - Grand Case
One of the longest sails of the week, we'll depat early back to St Martin.
On the afternnong, we'll arrive at Grand Case
In the evening we'll have dinner in Grand Case, known for its excellent restaurants
Friday - Tintamarre, Baie de l'Embouchure
Our last full day on the water, we'll sail past Tintamarre
We'll get our last swim stop at Baie de l'Embouchure
By evening we will return to Anse Marcel Marina to have a farewell dinner
Saturday - Base Marina
Early start to tidy up, pack our bags and get off the boat.
Payment Schedule
When booking with a deposit, the payments will be due according to the following schedule:
- 90 days before course commencement: 50% of the total amount
- 60 days before course commencement: 100% of the total amount
